As many know, careers in local government have always been volatile, but it has become much more prevalent in the last few years.

With growing numbers of local government leaders losing their jobs due to political dynamics, it is becoming more and more common for leaders to periodically spend some time in career transition at least once or twice during their careers. In our continuing effort to support local government leaders, SGR has launched a variety of services in support of these managers in career transition, including short-term project work.

One of the 12 characteristics of authentic servant leaders is “healing.” SGR believes very deeply that we have a duty not only to proclaim servant leadership values but to "walk the talk" as a company. One of the ways we do this is by connecting local governments in need of short-term project assistance with highly-qualified professional managers currently in career transition who can spare their expertise to help complete a project or other finite task.
