As a way to continue her personal growth towards becoming a better Servant Leader, Shawna Barnes joined the SGR team as the Director of Business Innovation. Shawna previously held the position of Business Process Manager for the City of Grapevine, where she spent 10 years working in local government. During her time at the city, Shawna specialized in driving innovation, business process automation, data analysis, and strategic planning. She assisted with identifying and developing solutions for city processes that were optimized through the use of technology. Shawna brings a wealth of municipal city government experience and knowledge to her SGR role. Shawna also has over 8 years of experience serving as an Operations Manager for a development firm in New Mexico.

Shawna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. In her free time, Shawna enjoys watching old movies, traveling, reading and being with family. She and her husband, Bryan, are the proud parents of Brett, a student at Texas Connections Academy.
