Scott Willingham

Sr. Vice President; Leadership Development


Dr. Scott Willingham has been leading, speaking, writing and consulting since 1982. A Texan by birth, Scott has been with SGR since 2016. He is experienced in leading council retreats, 4th Dimension Leadership Workshops and is a regular presenter of SGR Servant Leadership classes. In June 2021, SGR invited Scott to lead/facilitate our own strategic planning retreat!

Scott received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In addition, he ranches and speaks to churches and nonprofits. He has a wide variety of experience, having worked for Accenture Consulting and has led churches as Senior Pastor of four Texas churches. He spent eight years working with a Texas denominational group of over 5,000 churches, focusing on leadership development, strategic visioning, training and coaching/mentoring. In addition, he was honored to serve on the board of two great Texas universities.

Scott and his wife, Lori, have been married thirty-nine years. They are blessed with three children and nine grandchildren: Jack, Aurora, Emery, Scarlett, Faye, Ezra, Link, Eli and Eden (feel free to ask him about them!). Scott resides in Midlothian, Texas when he is not speaking or managing the Circle W Ranch in Leon County, Texas.
