Larry Gilley joined SGR in 2016 as an Executive Recruitment Sr. Vice President. Prior to joining the SGR team, Larry served for more than 38 years in leadership roles as a city manager in four Texas cities. Throughout his career, Larry has been committed to public service, not only providing leadership in the communities he served, but by also actively participating in a variety of professional associations, including the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Texas City Management Association (TCMA) and is Past President of that organization.

Larry truly believes that the most effective government is based in Servant Leadership, and SGR’s commitment to those values is what led Larry to join the SGR team as an Executive Recruitment SVP. In addition to his work with SGR, Larry stays connected to his local community by volunteering for various boards and commissions in where he and his wife, Stacy, currently live.

Family is what motivates and inspires Larry. He loves spending time with his five children and three grandchildren who live in Texas and Colorado.
