Charles Kimble joins SGR after more than 32 years in law enforcement. A United States Army veteran, he began his law enforcement career with the Milwaukee, WI Police Department and has served in Assistant Chief/Chief positions for the Fayetteville, NC Police Department, the Spring Lake, NC Police Department, and most recently as Chief of the Killeen, TX Police Department.

A native of Milwaukee, Kimble received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is also a graduate of the North Carolina Justice Academy-Management Development Program, the Municipal/County Officers Course at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Government, and the Police Executive Research Forum-Senior Management Institute of Policing (SMIP), FBI Command College and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (LEEDS) Class #80.

Charles is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, Police Executive Research Forum, North Carolina Police Executives, and the Texas Police Chief’s Association. Charles is heavily involved in community service and serves as the Board Chair/Chief Volunteer Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Texas and is a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
