Omar Reyes is the Director of Strategic Relations for The Quest life, a non-profit located in Fort Worth Texas. Since 2002 this organization has been helping leaders and others rediscover their identity, increasing their capacity for building meaningful relationships and a renewed passion for life. He believes that purpose lies within the individual and enjoys seeing people connect to their passion.
Prior to this, Omar worked for a non-profit organization called Glocalnet. The mission of Glocalnet is to facilitate peace and reconciliation among the major religions of the world. Omar believes that religious leaders are a key force in reducing violence in this world. One of his favorite quotes is from Blaise Pascal who makes that point. “Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction” He has facilitated these retreats with Imams, Evangelical Pastors and Rabbis in 13 of the most important cities in the US and in countries like Doha, Morocco and Abud Dhabi as well Trinidad and Tobago. The results of these retreats have been transformative as you see religious leaders come in as stranger or perhaps even enemies and leaving as friends.
He studied business at St John’s College, founded by Jesuits priest locate in Belize, Central America. He is also a graduate of Vision University with a BA in Theology. He holds certifications in consulting and facilitation through the Biehl Institute and Wave Changers organization.
Omar has been married to Elysse for 39 years and have 4 kids and 3 grandbabies who have completely taken over their world. He enjoys books, traveling and believes his birthplace, Belize, is a place that you must put on your bucket list to visit. He is involved in many humanitarian projects in that country; working with leaders; in the education and government domains with a desire to see that country progress.
