Darryl Willis
Darryl Willis is a former minister who still serves as Chaplain for the Ennis Police Department as he has for many years. He has an extensive background in community crisis care, including organizing and overseeing emergency shelters during two different hurricanes. He has developed and led numerous seminars, and is an experienced curriculum developer. He has completed Basic Intensive Training in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, as well as Responding to Schools following a Crisis by the Texas Department of Health and Public Safety as well as training from the Red Cross in Shelter Operations. Darryl also holds an Advanced Critical Incident Stress Management Certificate as well as a Group Debriefing Certificate and an Individual and Peer Support Certificate, all approved by the International Critical Incident Foundation. He holds a Basic Certification in Police Chaplaincy from the International Conference of Police Chaplains, and Certification for Victim Chaplaincy from the Victim Chaplain and Counselor Association of America. Darryl also volunteers with the Dallas Area Critical Response Team which provides debriefing services to EMT’s, Fire Departments, Police Departments, and Hospitals following critical incidents such as police shootings, multi fatality accidents, child fatalities, etc. Darryl holds a BA degree from American Christian Bible College in West Monroe, LA, and a Master of Arts from David Lipscomb University in Nashville.
